Synthetic vs. Real

Synthetic vitamins are NOT natural vitamins.
Synthetic vitamins are not vitamins at all but synthesized fractions of a vitamin complex; a part of just one portion of the real, biologically active and physiologically precise nutritional complex. There is no possible way that a fraction of a vitamin should be called a vitamin.

The analogy here is essentially the same as a car salesmen handing you a wheel of a car and telling you the wheel is an automobile. Synthetic vitamins can seriously impair the most important of body functions by contributing to biochemical imbalance. “Synthetic vitamins are dangerous,” says Dr. Lee, “they can actually have a worse effect than starvation.”

For example, ascorbic acid is not the same as vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is ascorbic acid which is a fraction of the biologically utilizable vitamin C complex. Ascorbic acid is like the eggshell of an egg and vitamin C is the whole egg. Synthetic vitamins contain ascorbic acid but not Vitamin C.

It is not the same thing, ascorbic acid is the fraction of the vitamin complex. Most Vitamin C is ascorbic acid. Standard Process Vitamins are natural whole food supplements, containing the whole complex.
